New superintendent Margaret Marotta and Director of Special Education Pamela MacDonald will give a short presentation and answer questions related to special education in the Haverhill Public Schools at the next Haverhill Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) meeting on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at 6 pm in the Haverhill High School library.
Before taking over as the superintendent of the Haverhill Public Schools on July 1, 2018, Ms. Marotta worked for the Salem Public Schools as director of pupil personnel services and most recently served as an assistant superintendent. She also has worked for the Federation for Children with Special Needs; as special education team chairperson for the Peabody Public Schools; and as assistant director of special education for the Boston Public Schools.
Ms. MacDonald began working for the Haverhill Public Schools as a compliance officer in the summer of 2016 before being promoted to director of special education in July 2017. Before working for the Haverhill Public Schools, Ms. MacDonald worked for the Stoneham Public Schools as the special education supervisor for the Stoneham Central Middle School.
