The Haverhill SEPAC is pleased to welcome Attorney Holly Vietzke on October 16, 2023 at the Haverhill High School library to present a Basic Rights Workshop.
For our seasoned parents, this is a great opportunity to brush up on your knowledge of basic rights. But for families that are new to special education, this can be a great resource to educate you on the basic rights available to you and your student.
Every parent of a child with special needs—or whose child may have special needs—has federal and state rights with regard to their education. Knowing what your rights are helps you to be a better advocate for your child. Holly Vietzke, Esq. is a special education attorney representing families, and she will share what you should be aware of and what to do if your child has a disability that affects any part of their educational experience.
This presentation will be held at the Haverhill High School located at 137 Monument St., Haverhill MA 01832 (in the high school library). Parking for this event will be in Lot E (past the tennis courts). Presentation will begin at 6:30 PM.
Please note - a Spanish translator will be present at this workshop.
